Nestled on the barrier Islands of Pinellas County, between the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay, is the quiet little town of North Redington Beach. Almost one mile of beautiful white sandy beach!
North Redington Beach is mostly residential property, but offers a few quaint shops, restaurants & hotel/motels, and condos to meet the desires and comfort of our visitors. There are all the services and amenities of a much larger city without the crowds & traffic.
There are six beach accesses. They are mostly used for local residences, keeping this stretch of beach peaceful and somewhat private. The public beach accesses are located about a mile North and/or South. They feature bathroom facilities, showers and plenty of parking.
One of the early noteworthy events was the opening of the Tides Bath Club on January 1, 1936. It sat on approximately one-quarter mile of North Redington Beach Gulf front. Tides Bath Club was the first premier resort on Pinellas County beaches and provided numerous amenities. Many of Hollywood’s elite stayed there, including Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe, Ronald Reagan, Hank Greenberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Whitey Ford, Liberace, Mickey Mantle, Joathan Winters, Yogi Berra – just to name a few. Sadly, the years took a toll and the resort fell into major disrepair. The club was demolished and in 1996 and replaced by 214 luxury condominiums. These condos still exist in a gated community with a resort feel.
